Love is the highest healing energy on our planet. So many stories have been written and told that attest to the healing transformation in lives from the power of love poured out from one person to another. Words are extremely powerful! Every day we have the opportunity to speak or write words that can build up, encourage, and transform another human being’s life.
Proverbs 16:24 says, “Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” The happy result of kind, pleasant words are felt in the body and soul. Just as honey has been used as a medicinal remedy for thousands of years, sweet, loving, encouraging words are good medicine for the soul.
So where do we get the love and motivation to share kind, loving words with others on a regular basis? It comes from the source of all love, God. He wrote the biggest love letter ever, to all of His dear children, the Bible. He promises in His love letter to us that “He will never leave us, nor forsake us.” Hebrews 13:5-6
He promises to comfort us always and “numbers and records our wanderings; and puts all our tears in His bottle, and in His book.”Psalm 56:8
One my favorite love notes from God is found in Zephaniah 3:17; “The Lord your God is with you; He is mighty to save you; He will take great delight in you; He will quiet you with His love – He will rejoice over you with singing.”
He created us to be in intimate, loving relationship with Him and He is a Master at wooing our hearts, “we love Him because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
Then He tells us to take His love and “Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another.” John 13:34
We can not out give God. What we give away will always return to us tenfold. I encourage you to share some “sweet words” of encouragement in a love letter with someone you love today.
Your friend, Cherie
