Everyone is searching for connection to other people and for more love in their lives. We have the opportunity to do that whenever we share our hearts in a love letter with those we care about, and to bring happiness to others.
I want to share a story from a Mom this week who was asked to write a letter to her son upon the event of his graduation this spring. She wrote from her heart things she had regularly shared with him before by spoken word; how she loved him and how proud she was of him. He came home later that day and looked at her a bit strangely and then hugged her and thanked her profusely for her letter and told her how much it meant to him. She was surprised that her written words touched him far more deeply and in a way that her spoken words never had.
The words we can read over and over in a letter stay with us in a deeper way than the spoken word. Share some “love in the mailbox” today!
